Gotta Catch ‘Em All 30 Day Pokémon Challenge – Day 15 and 16

We continue to work our way through the challenge even though Khinjarsi is very much off track and unlikely to get the whole thing done by the end of May. Days 15 and 16 have been brought together as they are both based off of the same idea – favourite locations.

As I eluded to in the previous entry, Blackthorn City is a location in my favourite Pokémon world – Johto. I like the variety of landscapes and therefore Pokémon. It has a major city for all your shopping and city-related needs but plenty of options for rural living away from the hustle and bustle. If you want to visit friends and adventure somewhere else for a while, there’s a handy train to Kanto. From Bulbapedia’s entry, the climate seems to be similar to my own actual Earth location so it wouldn’t need too much adjustment on my part.

Despite this, if I actually lived in the Pokémon World, I probably wouldn’t live in Johto. Instead, I would locate myself in Solaceon Town in Sinnoh. To quote Bulbapedia:

Solaceon Town is a temperate town where people and Pokémon can relax. According to the town’s locals, there was once nothing there but a road, but people and Pokémon gathered and a town formed. Solaceon Town is populated mostly by Ranchers and Cowgirls, and appears to be a farming community. As mentioned by a local, there were big Pokémon ranches around the town in the past. Most of the town residents live on the western side of town, near the main road. The eastern side of town is full of trees and ledges, resembling a maze. Solaceon Ruins is located on the far east side of town.

A town where I can farm, ranch and undertake archaeological digs? Sounds like a good place for me. The Day Care Centre is also located in Solaceon Town so I can see the baby Pokémon. Seems to be a comforting and nature linked place to be.
